ordinary morning Not so long ago, my son was born. I thought,"This kid looks nothing like me", but I held him and loved him anyways.
Taking him home was scary. Do I look scared? I think I had just shat my pants.
Wouldn't this scare the shit out of you?
Despite having a generally pissed off personality
and facing unfathomable celebrity, Mattie proved himself to be a normal boy. Sort of.
He loves his mommie.
He's made me a better person ... he even lectures on occassion.
Almost five months later, I've learned to relax, and that he and I are far more alike than I had initially thought.
I love you, Mattie.
I love you too, ma.
